Narcissa is looking bigger every day, and it's dawning on me very fast that it won't be long until we have a baby. I barely feel ready. The nursery is almost finished and Merlin knows we've had enough conversations that I know what to expect. But it's still not quite hit home the extent to my new responsibilities. This is the last Easter we shall spend as just the two of us. Next Easter we shall have a baby. Next Christmas we shall have a baby.
I don't know what I'll do if it's a girl. We've waited so long for an heir.
I must work hard so his future is secure. I must be promoted. My work with the school is the key to this; there is no way for me to prove myself when my job is essentially non-existent. By this rate, Snape will be promoted to be my senior and that would not do at all. I have no problems with Snape, but he is my junior and a halfblood, and I will not answer to him.

I believe this is my favourite time of year. While exploiting this holiday and engaging in gluttony is not admirable in the slightest, I appreciate the pleasurable break from everyday life that Easter can bring. This Easter promises to be the most prosperous of all, as I know you'll all agree that our society has excelled since Minister Nott's election.

Has there been much consideration given to the re-opening of Hogwarts? And if not Hogwarts itself, another school? I understand that Dumbledore is still hanging fervently onto the building and may therefore cause a problem, but the old fool cannot get around us for long.
I'm sure all of us with children (whether school age or not) or even children on the way can agree on the importance of an education. A school under our control may be crucial in preserving our society and beliefs by instilling these very beliefs in the magical youngsters of our country. With the curriculum under our control, the next generation will grow up to be valuable members of society, and those that oppose us will slowly die out, with nobody to join their ranks.
I currently have the Hogwarts records under my control, and still correspond with the former members of the Board of Governors. I am not suggesting this happens immediately, but I do believe it would be beneficial, and I would be perfectly willing to dedicate plenty of time and resources.

I know it has taken me a couple of days to say this, but I would like to extend my immense appreciation and congratulations to all of those involved in the fall of the Ministry, and the release of those of us who were incarcerated. It has been an emotionally draining time but last night's speech has me in good spirits and I have two pieces of news to relay.
Firstly, my Father's funeral will take place tomorrow at 11am, here at the manor. I plan to celebrate his life rather than mourn his passing, so hopefully my eulogy will be uplifting rather than depressing. I am not expecting to see everyone as I am aware he kept himself to himself somewhat in his old age, but those who wish to pay their respects will be gratefully received. My main regret is that he did not live long enough to see our joyous victory.
While his passing was common knowledge, I have another piece of news that is certainly not. My wife Narcissa and I are proud to announce that we are expecting a child. Our baby is fifteen weeks old, very healthy, and due in early July. We are delighted by the news, and while we are hoping for a son, any healthy child will be an extremely welcome and loved addition to our family.
These are times to be celebrated indeed, and though there is not one among us that has not experienced and suffered through loss in some way, I feel sure that those missing from our number would not wish for us to dwell too much on the past.
It is good to be home.

I am unable to find the counter-jinx to my affliction in any of our books, have you had more success? Normally I would ask for Antonin's help, but that is out of the question. Naturally I am unable to show my face in public while the antennae remain.

My father has hinted recently that he may be retiring soon, in which case his position on the Board of Governors for Hogwarts will pass onto me. As a Governor, I shall first see to security, as the current system clearly isn't good enough. Secondly I shall suggest appointing a new Headmaster; the current one seems to be unreliable and somewhat senile. I am glad I do not have children of my own at Hogwarts.
